DIRECT TRADE COFFEE
This coffee was a real standout for us in our 2021 selections from Honduras and was an easy choice for our Holiday Espresso. It is a fully washed process lot of pacas, produced by Ramon Rodriguez at his farm La Bendicion. Look forward to an ultra-ripe fruit character, alongside dense honey sweetness and a full, velvety mouthfeel.
This year, there’s more good news: by drinking this coffee, you’re helping provide someone in need with much-needed nutrition this holiday season. For every bag of Holiday coffee sold, 49th Parallel will donate 10% of the proceeds to Food Banks Canada. Why does that matter? Because no one should have to go to bed hungry. By buying these coffees, you’re helping spread the holiday spirit to those who need it most.

In the hills of El Cedral, Ramón Rodríguez grows Bourbon and Pacas at an altitude of 1500 - 1550 meters above sea level at his farm, La Bendicion. The area is close to the micro-regions of El Cielito, Las Flores and El Sauce where we work with several other quality-focused producers.
This lot from Ramon represents a combination of 3 smaller lots produced by Ramon in his early harvest of 2021. Each of these lots cupped fantastically by themselves but when blended together in the milling process became even better! We are really impressed with the levels of sweetness and body Ramon’s coffee is demonstrating this year.
One of 49th’s longest growing partners (over 9 years), Ramon continually impresses us with his consistent and reliable coffee quality. We’re very happy to have Ramon’s coffee back on the menu for our holiday espresso.
