Colombia La Reforma
Quince • Red Apple • Toffee •DIRECT TRADE
Description
In this lot from La Reforma, you can expect flavours of quince with some nutty aromatics and an apple-like acidity. This a pleasant and easy-going coffee with a great sweetness that reminds us of toffee.
Please note, some of our Filter coffees will be temporarily packaged in grey coffee bags while we wait for more mint coffee bags to arrive. Not to worry, no changes have been made to the coffee beans and you can expect the same great taste and flavours in each bag (updated: January 4, 2021).

Sourcing Story
49th Parallel Crop To Cup Story
Robert was a picker in Cauca, near the border of La Plata, until he inherited 2 hectares devoted to coffee from his parents, who have 7 hectares in total. Exceedingly passionate about quality, Robert achieved a degree in coffee production from SENA, a community college in Colombia that’s free and accessible. Currently, he is studying cupping and is constantly bringing parchment samples from his plot to evaluate and sample roast.
He reminds us a lot of another farmer we work with, Carlos Guamanga, who is the epitome of focus and passion for specialty coffee. The spirit that Robert exudes for his craft is only matched by the quality in the cup he produces.
