Guatemala SenegalDried Fig • Hazelnut • Red Currant •
This coffee from the Vides family and Senegal Terrazas highlights everything we love about the Huehuetenango region. Expect concentrated sweetness like dried dates or figs, outstanding complexity and a rich creamy mouthfeel.
Please note, some of our Filter coffees will be temporarily packaged in grey coffee bags while we wait for more mint coffee bags to arrive. Not to worry, no changes have been made to the coffee beans and you can expect the same great taste and flavours in each bag (updated: January 4, 2021).

49th Parallel Crop To Cup Story
In Guatemala the higher elevations of the La Libertad region defy imagination. Nestled here is Finca La Bolsa, a coffee farm that the Vides family has owned since 1958. Originally founded by Jorge Vides, the Vides family is now 3 generations into coffee production and have become world renowned for not only the delicious coffee they produce but the positive impact they have on the local community in Huehuetenango.
Senegal Terrazas is a smaller plot of land located a few kilometres from La Bolsa, at the high elevation of 2100 m.a.s.l. Coffee can flourish at this high elevation because warm winds eliminate the frost that can harm the delicate plants. Such a high altitude is advantageous as it allows the coffee cherries to mature slowly, producing a sweet and sophisticated cup.
This lot is fully washed and is composed of both Caturra and San Ramon varieties.
