Description
In this coffee produced by Zobeida Alarcon on their farm, La Palestina, look forward to a delightful contrast of deep confectionary sweetness like marzipan and dark chocolate complimented by refreshing fruit acidity like pomegranate and grape.
SOURCING STORY
Located in the Jaén zone, Cajamarca region, La Palestina has been in the Alarcon family for over 4 decades. Here they are growing primarily Caturra, Bourbon and Pache coffee varieties. The combination of high elevation and plentiful rain in this area allow for excellent cup quality. In addition to coffee, they are also growing beans, catuca and plantains. Peru is very quickly becoming an extremely exciting origin for specialty coffee and one of our favourites. La Palestina is a great example why! We expect coffees from this region to only improve further in the coming years.
