This is a fully washed lot produced by Zobeida Alarcon on her farm, La Palestina. We chose this lot for espresso roasting due to it's heavy sweetness and great depth. Look forward to layered confectionary and fruit notes in the cup with a round, syrupy mouthfeel.


Located in the Jaén zone, Cajamarca region of Peru, La Palestina has been in the Alarcon family for over 4 decades. Here they are growing primarily Caturra, Bourbon and Pache coffee varieties. The combination of high elevation and plentiful rain in this area allows for excellent cup quality. In addition to coffee, they are also growing beans, catuca and plantains. This coffee was sourced through our partners in Peru, Origin Coffee Lab. They are working with family owned, organic certified farms located in northern Peru. Here they run many initiatives to help grow and support the small producer communities, including selective cupping to identify good cup quality potential and offering quality premiums for high scoring lots.


Brew Method

18 grams of freshly ground coffee / Timer for 28 - 32 seconds / Pull 37 - 39 grams of liquid espresso / Grouphead at 200 - 201°F / 9 bars at machine gauge
