This lot is a gorgeous example of a bright and sweet coffee for this 2016/17 crop cycle in Sidama. Homacho Waeno is a cooperative with over 3500 members and has been around since 1975. Ethiopian heirloom varieties such as wolisho, dega, and gurume (and surely many more!) are grown in the volcanic soils, spanning 2000 hectares.

As a single origin espresso, this is where you get to choose your own adventure: When dialing Homacho Waeno using a VST basket, you’re greeted with more flavour clarity and that lemon balm and bright ruby red grapefruit really shines through with sumptuous caramel-like honey balancing that clean vibrancy. Using other baskets, you’ll get that same sweetness, and some of the fruit acid flavours will diminish. Either way, we think you’ll love this one.
