We chose this Ethiopia Udeyi as our 2025 Anniversary Roast to celebrate more than two decades of vibrant, expressive coffees! Aromatic and fruit-forward, this vibrant natural process coffee bursts with dried fruits, ripe blueberry, and a smooth hint of vanilla.

SOURCING STORY
In Ethiopia’s celebrated Guji region, the Udeyi Farmers Group cultivates exceptional coffee in partnership with Ture Waji and Sookoo Coffee. Grown at elevations of 2,000–2,180 meters, the high altitude, paired with warm days and cool nights, encourages sweet, dense cherries and vibrant cup profiles. Farming in Guji is traditional and organic-by-default. Smallholders intercrop coffee with food crops like beans, peas, and enset to optimize land use and sustain their families. Most farm work is done by hand, with minimal use of synthetic inputs. After selective handpicking by farmers and their families, cherries are delivered to the Udeyi washing station. There, they are carefully sorted and dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks, with regular turning to ensure even drying and preserve quality.
