SOURCING STORY
Ndiaini Factory is a central coffee processing station affiliated with the Rumukia Farmers’ Cooperative Society in Nyeri County, Kenya. Established in 1979, Rumukia is one of the region’s older cooperative societies and supports 315 smallholder farmers through agronomic training, quality assurance, sustainability initiatives and traceability. Coffee is cultivated at approximately 1,815 metres above sea level, where the cool climate and mineral-rich soils surrounding Mount Kenya encourage slow cherry maturation. For this limited natural lot, carefully selected ripe cherries were fermented whole and slowly dried on raised beds, producing a sweet, fruit forward coffee that retains Nyeri’s vibrant acidity and clarity.
