Maple Pecan Brown Sugar Drizzle

Ingredients:

For the pecan butter:

  • 1 cup candied pecans

For the rest of the syrup:

  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 4 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2/3 cup 33% whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla extract

Method:

For the pecan butter:

  1. In a food processor, blend the candied pecans until it has a fine and smooth consistency

For the rest of the syrup:

  1. Combine the pecan butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, and butter in a pot over medium heat. Whisk continuously as it cooks, until all of the sugars are dissolved and the sauce forms a smooth and uniform consistency.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Whisk in the whipping cream and vanilla extract.
  4. Use immediately if using in a drink, or allow to cool in the fridge for a few hours before drizzling over desserts.
