SOURCING STORY
Kiriani Factory is a washing station owned by Thikagiki Cooperative, located in town of Gatagua in the region of Muranga. We have been sourcing these coffees through our partners at Kenyacof for a few years now, and are always impressed with the quality. Kiraini serves 571 farmers that deliver ripe cherry to the mill for processing. Many of these farmers have just 200-300 trees, making them nano-producers, while their farms are all located at an altitude of 1700-1900 meters above sea level. Varietals include Batian, Ruiru 11, SL28, SL34.
